Meet Dr. Bryan McDonald

Our story is led by Dr. Bryan McDonald, a Virginia Beach native and proud father of three. Dr. McDonald’s journey began at Frank W. Cox High School before earning his B.A. in Economics and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his pediatric residency at UCLA, where he was selected for the Child Health and Advocacy Track (CHAT).

Through CHAT, Dr. McDonald developed innovative ways to care for underserved children, including:

Supporting children in foster care.
Conducting home visits for asthma patients.
Promoting nutrition education in schools.

Returning to Virginia Beach in 2006, Dr. McDonald became a Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His passion for innovative, family-centered care inspired him to establish Beach Kids Pediatrics, where he blends medical expertise with a personal touch.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. McDonald enjoys family time, outdoor adventures and sharing the magic of Harry Potter with his kids.
