MEET DR. BRYAN MCDONALD

BOARD CERTIFIED PEDIATRICIAN

Dr. Bryan McDonald, a proud father of three children, is a Virginia Beach native and a graduate of Frank W. Cox High School. He received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia where he went on to graduate from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Bryan McDonald completed pediatric residency training at the University of California Los Angeles.

During his residency, Dr. Bryan McDonald was chosen to be one of two residents to participate in the cutting-edge Child Health and Advocacy Track (CHAT) program. Throughout this program, Dr. Bryan McDonald learned new ways that a pediatrician can intervene for underserved children, including advocating for children in foster care, conducting home visits for asthmatic patients and educating the community about healthy eating and nutrition through the school system.

After completing his residency, Dr. Bryan McDonald became Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He returned home to Virginia Beach in 2006 where he has worked as a pediatrician in a local practice as well as a pediatric hospitalist. Currently, he is thrilled to be practicing innovative pediatrics at Beach Pediatric Kids in Virginia Beach, VA.

In his free time, Dr. Bryan McDonald enjoys spending time at the beach, bike riding with his children, tennis, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and reading Harry Potter. Request an appointment with Dr. Bryan McDonald today!
